Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul delivered the keynote address "Thailand's Offer to the World" at the Bangkok Business Summit 2026, hosted by the Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking (JSCCIB), government agencies, and the World Bank. The event also marked the launch of the World Bank's "Building Thailand's Future Today" report, charting a path toward high-income status ahead of the 2026 IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings.
The Premier noted that amidst four major global shifts, Thailand must adapt to build resilience through the following key approaches:
• Global Openness and Collaboration
Strengthening economic partnerships, reinforcing ASEAN, and connecting regional production networks.
• Technological Transformation
Driving investment in AI and advanced technologies to build domestic expertise, boost productivity, and keep SMEs competitive.
• Green Economy Transition
Leveraging climate finance to mobilize global resources for clean energy, resilient infrastructure, and nature-based solutions.
• Navigating an Aging Society
Building a “Longevity Economy” to ensure citizens remain healthy and skilled for longer working lives, while unlocking new opportunities in health, wellness, and tourism.
Thailand highlighted its regional strengths, from robust industrial clusters to advanced logistics. "The country is ready to be more than just a production base or a sales market, but a partner in building industries that will shape the future," said Prime Minister Anutin, urging investors to "co-create with Thailand.”
The Thai government is backing this vision with real action, streamlining over 7,000 regulations, raising standards toward OECD membership, and building an environment that welcomes global investors and talent alike.
Ultimately, Thailand is positioning itself not just as a destination for capital, but as a trusted co-creator of a sustainable, innovation-driven future.
