Phuket celebrated hometown talent Rattikarn “Nene Royal” Amloy on 27 September 2026, after the 16-year-old singer and guitarist made history as the first Thai contestant to win America’s Got Talent.

Nene won Season 21 of the hit US talent show following a series of rock performances, including songs by The Cranberries, Soundgarden and The White Stripes. She took home the US$1 million grand prize after winning the final public vote.

Back in Phuket, the celebrations included a welcome ceremony with Nene and her family, followed by a vehicle parade through Phuket town. Residents and visitors gathered along the route to welcome her home.

The celebrations continued at Charter Intersection, where Nene met fans and performed live with the Ozone band, the group she has performed with in Phuket.
