Lalisa Manobal, known globally as Lisa, made history at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles by winning Best Pop for "Dream" (featuring Kentaro Sakaguchi). She is the first Asian solo artist to win the category, beating pop stars including Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift.

Lisa opened her acceptance speech with traditional Thai greetings, saying "Sawadee ka" and "Khob khun ka," a nod to her roots.

She also captivated the audience with the live debut of "SaWaDiKa," featuring Muay Thai choreography and an authentic Thai tuk-tuk on stage, a celebration of Thai culture on a global platform.
