Thailand and France Partner to Boost Thai Chefs, Massage Therapists, and Skilled Labor in Europe

Thailand's Ministry of Labor recently met with its French counterpart in Paris to strengthen labor cooperation, align workforce development with market needs, and expand legal employment opportunities for skilled Thai workers in Europe.

To support this, the government is promoting Thailand's globally recognized strengths, including Thai chefs and massage therapists, by upgrading skill standards and certifications to build confidence among foreign employers.

At the same time, Thailand is driving upskilling and reskilling programs so that Thai workers stay competitive in a fast-changing, technology- and AI-driven economy.

As the current chair of the ASEAN Labour Ministers' Meeting (ALMM), Thailand is also well placed to foster broader labor cooperation between France and ASEAN member states.

With the Royal Thai Embassy in Paris serving as the key coordinator, this partnership aims to turn dialogue into concrete collaboration and create real career opportunities for Thai workers on the global stage.
