Pol. Lt. Gen. Phumin Phumphanmuang, Commissioner of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB), recently welcomed a delegation from Australia, led by Kristie Cressy, Senior Officer of the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and James Ryan, Advisor to the Australian Border Force (ABF), to build working relationships and discuss future collaboration.
The talks focused on three priorities:
Stronger ties: Deepening cooperation between Thai and Australian law enforcement agencies.
Tackling transnational crime: Planning joint investigations into organized crime networks, especially transnational drug trafficking, fraud, and money laundering.
Greater investigative efficiency: Sharing experience, management approaches, and intelligence to handle complex cross-border cases more effectively.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Phumin thanked the delegation and expressed hope for continued collaboration. The Australian representatives thanked the NSB for the warm welcome and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting future joint operations.
This meeting shows the power of international law enforcement cooperation. By combining expertise and intelligence, Thailand and Australia are working together to protect public safety and stop crime across borders.
