The Ministry of Public Health, together with the Global Wellness Institute (GWI), has announced that Thailand will host the Global Wellness Summit (GWS) 2026 on 10–13 November 2026 in Phuket, under the theme "The Science, Art and Soul of Wellness."
With a wellness market valued at over US$42.7 billion and growing at 10.1% annually, Thailand's health tourism sector now ranks 15th globally, cementing its rise as a top-tier medical and wellness destination. The summit will spotlight how traditional Thai wisdom is merging with modern science to drive both economic growth and soft power on the world stage.
As GWI CEO Susie Ellis put it: "There is no place better suited to explore this future than Thailand, where a long-standing tradition of holistic healthcare is being remarkably integrated into efforts to become the world's newest premier destination for medical-wellness tourism and preventive medicine."
Key Highlights:
• Blending traditional Thai medicine with cutting-edge technology
