Thailand’s Ministry of Transport is integrating road, rail, and air transport networks to ensure convenient, effective, and seamless travel for visiting the Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026. The Expo will run from 1 November 2026 to 14 March 2027 at Nong Dae Wetland in Udon Thani Province.
Udon Thani International Airport has the capacity to accommodate approximately 3.4 million passengers annually with 11 aircraft parking stands. The airport can also coordinate Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine (C.I.Q.) for international flight operations.
To facilitate travel to the Expo, the airport has designated areas for public transport, as well as pick-up and drop-off points for tour groups, and individuals. The transport connection is arranged between the airport, the passenger bus terminal, and the Expo railway station—a temporary station near the event site. These measures will also facilitate interprovincial travel and connections to Laos.
Shuttle bus services have also been arranged to connect the airport and designated pick-up points, including Big C Udon Thani (Nadi), Lotus Udon Thani (Nadi), and Ruam Jai Market, with the Expo. These arrangements aim to provide greater convenience for visitors, ease traffic congestion, boost tourism, and stimulate the economy in northeastern Thailand.
