Minister of Tourism and Sports Surasak Phancharoenworakul announces preparations for the 9th edition of the world-class "Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok 2026," taking place on 28-29 November 2026.

As the Thai government's official marathon, the event is certified by World Athletics as "The Official World Capital City Marathon" and is part of the global marathon calendar. It showcases Thailand's ability to host international sporting events to world-class standards.

This year, the marathon aims to rise even higher among the world's leading races. More than 100,000 Thai and international runners and visitors are expected to take part, making it one of the five largest marathons in the world and the second largest in Asia, while also driving the economy and tourism sector.

More than just a race through the heart of the capital, the marathon demonstrates Thailand's readiness to bring sports, tourism, and the economy together seamlessly.
