President To Lam  departed from Hanoi on July 11, 2024 for three-day state visits to Laos and Cambodia.

These are President Lam's first international trips since his election by the National Assembly last month. The visits underscore Vietnam's commitment to the Vietnam-Laos great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation, as well as the Vietnam-Cambodia good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability.

These trips will herald a new phase in the development of Vietnam-Laos and Vietnam-Cambodia relations, based on equality, mutual benefit, effective cooperation, and respect for each other's interests. They will strengthen strategic trust, deepen relations with both countries, and bolster solidarity among Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and the ASEAN bloc.
