Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has expressed deep concern over the ongoing floods affecting the northern provinces of Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai. In a recent social media update, she shared that she had received a report from the Office of the National Water Resources (ONWR) outlining the severe flooding in the region, triggered by continuous heavy rainfall.
The Prime Minister assured the public that authorities and relevant agencies have been mobilized to provide assistance to those impacted by the flash floods. She stressed that she is closely monitoring the situation and remains committed to the safety and wellbeing of the affected residents.
Citizens experiencing difficulties are encouraged to seek help by contacting the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation’s hotline at 1784.
The Prime Minister also extended her heartfelt support to the affected communities and praised the officials for their swift and dedicated response in delivering urgent relief.
