Nay Pyi Taw, 15 October 2025 — Myanmar commemorated the 10th Anniversary of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) with an official ceremony held at the Myanmar International Convention Centre I (MICC I) in Nay Pyi Taw, attended by Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

The event was also attended by Vice-Senior General Soe Win, members of the State Security and Peace Commission, Union ministers, ethnic leaders, representatives from ethnic armed organizations, political parties, and international witnesses from China, India, and ASEAN.

The ceremony opened with a ribbon-cutting to mark a decade since the signing of the NCA, followed by the unveiling of the 10th Anniversary signboard. Participants also shared messages of peace and viewed exhibitions showcasing the NCA’s milestones and progress over the past ten years.

In his address, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing emphasized the importance of peace, stability, and unity in building a prosperous, democratic, and federal Union. He reaffirmed his commitment to the peace process, highlighting that the NCA remains a cornerstone for political dialogue and national reconciliation. The Senior General also underscored the need for education reform, development, and cooperation among all ethnic groups to achieve lasting peace.

The ceremony featured cultural performances by MRTV and ethnic troupes, the screening of a video titled “The Future of the State Will Be Shaped Through a Durable Peace Initiated by the NCA,” and the presentation of commemorative gifts to international and ethnic representatives.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing hosted a luncheon for attendees following the ceremony, reaffirming Myanmar’s continued efforts to advance the peace process and strengthen unity among all national races.
