Agri Museum Festival in Celebration of His Majesty the King’s 72nd Birthday

The Golden Jubilee Museum of Agriculture Office (Public Organization) will hold an “Agri Museum” festival to honor His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua (Rama X) for the “Celebrations on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King's 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 28th July 2024."

The festival is scheduled for 12-14 July 2024, from 08.00 to 17.00 hr. It features an exhibition on 72 stories in commemoration of the 72nd birthday anniversary of King Rama X. Another two exhibitions will also be arranged by the networks and cooperative partners of the Golden Jubilee Museum of Agriculture Office.

Other activities include training, workshops, and a bazaar of agricultural goods, with about 200 shops offering safe farm products.

The Golden Jubilee Museum of Agriculture is located on an area of 374 rai (149.6 acres) on Phahonyothin Road in Khlong Nueng Subdistrict, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province. It was established in 1996 by the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the accession to the throne of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great (Rama IX).

Its mission is to disseminate the knowledge and wisdom in agriculture of the Thai monarchy and to promote the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in the agricultural sector. This museum has become a tourist attraction and a learning center for agricultural development emphasizing sufficiency, self-reliance, and sustainability.

Regarded as the “agriculture king,” King Rama IX made every effort to help develop Thailand’s agriculture, especially rice cultivation, as evident in many royally initiated projects.

As king of a predominantly agricultural country, His Majesty King Rama X has followed up in the footsteps of his Royal Father, King Rama IX, who had laid out a royal approach for sustainable development for the country.

The Mobile Agricultural Clinic under the patronage of His Majesty King Rama X is a project that has adopted the royal approach of the late King Rama IX. Many activities have been carried out in this project. For instance, the project provides technical services on agriculture and new technology to farmers in order to enhance efficiency in farm production and solve farmers’ problems.
