The Government is preparing to hold a grand reception on His Majesty the King’s auspicious occasion, the celebrations of His Majesty’s sixth-cycle (72nd) birthday anniversary, 28 July 2024.

The grand reception is scheduled for Monday, 29 July 2024 at 19.00 hr at Santi Maitri Building, Government House. The event will be televised by the Television Pool of Thailand and broadcast live on Radio Thailand under the Government Public Relations Department.

Government Spokesperson Chai Wacharonke said that the Government had been granted royal permission to organize the grand reception in honor of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua (Rama X) on this special occasion.

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin will preside over the event. The Government has received good cooperation from all relevant agencies in organizing the grand reception, with the highest honor accorded to His Majesty, according to the Government Spokesperson.

He invited Thai people from all walks of life to offer good wishes to His Majesty on this auspicious occasion and join "The Celebrations on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King's 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 28th July 2024."

The Government has invited 1,956 couples to attend the upcoming grand reception, comprising important figures and their spouses. They include, for instance, members of the Royal Family, members of the Privy Council, former prime ministers, Cabinet members, senior officials, foreign ambassadors and consuls, members of international organizations, and representatives from private organizations and media agencies.

The Government had received royal permission to organize year-long celebrations to commemorate His Majesty’s sixth-cycle birthday anniversary. The year-long celebrations began on 1 January and will continue until 31 December 2024.
