Timeline of Thailand-Cambodia Situation on 24 July 2025, at 07.35 - 12.00 hr

07.35 hr - Cambodian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) circled over the Ta Muen Thom Temple area. Six armed Cambodian soldiers approached the barbed wire near Thai operations base. Thai forces called out in attempt to avoid conflict.

08.20 hr - Cambodian forces opened fire on the Thai operations base.

08.50 hr - Cambodia launched supporting fire toward the Ta Muen Thom Temple area.

08.55 hr - Clashes erupted along the entire front line, with small arms and heavy weapons used near the Ta Muen Temple.

09.00 hr - One soldier from the 21st Infantry Regiment stationed at Ta Muen Temple was injured.

09.11 hr - Cambodian supporting fire intensified on the western side of the Ta Muen Temple group, injuring two more Thai soldiers.

09.20 hr - Cambodian artillery was spotted near Wat Kaew, across from Kantharalak District.

09.30 hr - Cambodia fired BM-21 rockets from a base on Khao Laem Hill, approximately 6 km south of Chong Chom. The rockets landed on Thai soil. Thailand responded with 120 mm mortars.

09.42 hr - Cambodia fired BM-21 rockets at the Border Development Center in Kap Choeng District, Surin Province. Thailand immediately ordered an evacuation of civilians.

09.47 hr - Armed clashes spread across all border areas in Surin, Ubon Ratchathani, and Si Sa Ket provinces.

09.50 hr - Cambodian troops attempted to intrude into Thai territory near Ta Kwai Temple. Thai forces responded with artillery fire.

10.51 hr - Six F-16 fighter jets were deployed to counter threats in the Chong Anma area.

10.58 hr - Cambodian military bases were destroyed by Thai F-16 fighter jets.

11.00 hr - The Government Spokesperson held a press conference stating that Cambodia had launched BM-21 rockets into civilian areas (including hospital, gas station, and residential homes) in Phanom Dong Rak District, Surin Province. One civilian was killed, and three were seriousty injured (one being a 5-year-old child).

11.15 hr - The Royal Thai Army called on the public to use the hashtags: #กัมพูชายิงก่อน #ไทยนี้รักสงบแต่ถึงรบไม่ขลาด #CambodiaOpenedFire 

11.37 hr - A supply cable car used by Cambodian forces on Phu Makheu mountain was destroyed by Thai troops.

11.54 hr - Cambodia attacked the Phanom Dong Rak Hospital in Surin Province, injuring civilians.

11.55 hr - The Ad Hoc Centre for Thailand-Cambodia Border Situation announced that Cambodia initiated the hostilities and announced the closure of all border checkpoints.

12.00 hr - The Prime Minister condemned Cambodia's attack on civilian areas and affirmed that the Thai military and government are fully prepared-both in terms of weaponry and protecting the people.
