People Affected by Thai-Cambodian Situation to Be Provided with Assistance in All Aspects

Deputy Government Spokesperson Sasikarn Wattanachan stressed that the Government is ready to provide assistance in all aspects to people affected by the Thai-Cambodian border situation, saying that the Government deems it urgent and enormously important to ensure the safety of the people.

Ms. Sasikarn said that the Government is concerned over the well-being of Thais working in disputed border areas, as well as Cambodian workers in Thailand. They have been urged to avoid traveling or staying in risk areas, making their safety a priority.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Pirapan Salirathavibhaga on 25 July 2025 chaired a meeting of the Government’s Disaster Relief Fund Committee, which approved compensation for those affected by the border situation.

In this regard, each family of a deceased victim will receive one million baht, while persons with disabilities will receive 700,000 baht. Each injured person will receive 200,000 baht, or 100,000, or 50,000 baht, depending on the severity of their injuries.

Meanwhile, seven airlines have expressed their readiness to help Thai nationals in Cambodia return to Thailand by arranging special flights, if necessary. These airlines include Thai Airways International, Thai AirAsia, Thai AirAsia X, Bangkok Airways, Thai Vietjet, Nok Air, and Thai Lion Air.
