Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana and Her Royal Highness Princess Siribhachudabhorn have offered assistance to local people in Surin Province, who were affected by indiscriminate attacks by Cambodian forces.
Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn graciously granted her personal fund of 500,000 baht to Surin Governor Chamnan Chuenta to help the affected people. The assistance also includes a number of bags of relief supplies.
The Surin governor on 2 August 2025 at 09.00 hr presided over the ceremony to present the royal bags of relief supplies to the affected people at the temporary shelter center in the area of Wat Sutthithammaram, Mueang Surin District. Participating in the ceremony were the president of Surin Red Cross Chapter and local officials.
Meanwhile, Her Royal Highness Princess Siribhachudabhorn donated a fund of one million baht to Surin Province to help affected communities, together with 1,263 bags of relief supplies for 1,263 families. Her Royal Highness also presented a cash donation of 80,000 baht for buying materials in preparing food for the evacuees, and another 200,000 baht to acquire animal feed.
In this regard, the Surin governor on 2 August 2025 at 10.30 hr presided over the ceremony to present the royal bags of relief supplies to the affected people at the temporary shelter center in the area of Wat Klang’s Dhamma Practice Center, Mueang Surin District.
As a result of unrest along the border, the governor of Surin had signed an announcement declaring parts of Surin public disaster zones, covering four districts, out of 17 districts Six people were killed and 10 injured from the border clashes.
Surin Province set up 135 temporary shelter centers, mainly in schools, temples, and government buildings. A total of 41,834 people are now staying at these temporary shelter centers, and 38,279 have moved to stay with their relatives in safe areas.
