Minister of Foreign Affairs Sihasak Phuangketkeow chaired a meeting on the Thailand-Cambodia border situation with executives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as Thai Ambassadors, and Consuls-General from 98 missions in 65 countries worldwide.

The meeting via video conference was held on 24 December 2025 to provide policy directions on proactive diplomacy and strategic communication in the context of the Thailand-Cambodia border situation. 

The Foreign Minister reiterated that all overseas missions should prioritize communicating factual information and clarifying Thailand’s position to the international community, underscoring Thailand’s commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty based on national interest and international law. 

The Ambassadors and Consuls-General reported on their respective actions and exchanged assessments of the positions of countries and international organizations, as well as views and recommendations, with a view to ensuring that the Ministry’s diplomatic efforts were conducted in an integrated and most effective manner.
