Mrs. Pany Yathotou, Vice President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR), laid a wreath in front of the royal urn of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother in Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall within the Grand Palace on 5 November 2025.

The Vice President of the Lao PDR arrived in Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall at 10.33 hr to pay her respects to the late Queen Mother. She, together with her accompanying persons, also signed the book of condolence at the Royal Office 904 Building in the Grand Palace.

The Lao PDR is a close neighbor of Thailand, sharing a border and having deep historical, cultural, and linguistic ties. Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother played a vital role in promoting Thailand-Laos relations and cooperation.

Previously on 4 November at 15.50 hr, His Royal Highness the Prince of Venice Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia of Italy, accompanied by his entourage, visited Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall to pay his respects to the late Queen Mother. 

He also signed the book of condolence at the Royal Office 904 Building to express his deepest sympathy for the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.
