Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul presided over the launch of "Roi Yim Khong Mae" (Mother's Smile) at a press conference at Government House on 27 October. The song honors the boundless royal grace of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.
Members of the Cabinet and Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office Chatchai Bangchuad also attended this event. The participants observed a moment of silence to pay their respects to the late Queen Mother before listening to the tribute song.
The Prime Minister said that Her Majesty's passing on 24 October 2025 brought deep sorrow to all Thai people. Throughout her life, Her Majesty devoted herself to the nation's well-being, promoted traditional Thai arts and crafts around the world, created jobs in local communities, protected the environment, and advanced public health.
The National Commission on the Royal Cremation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother developed the song to pay tribute to Her Majesty, who lived a long and remarkable life and whose compassion united the Thai Kingdom and whose dedication inspired generations.
The lyrics are written by Nitipong Honark and the music is arranged by Suwat Chai Suttirat. National Artist Thongchai McIntyre performs the song. The production received wide support from both the public and private sectors.
The Government will broadcast the song on all media platforms to bring people together in remembrance of the late Queen Mother. The Prime Minister also encouraged everyone to follow Her Majesty's royal initiatives as guiding principles in their own lives and for the country's sustainable development.
