Thailand's Miss Universe 1988, Porntip Nakhirunkanok or Bui Simon, has expressed profound sorrow following the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati.

In a heartfelt message shared on Facebook, she paid tribute to the Princess's enduring kindness and compassion, saying these qualities would remain forever in the hearts of the Thai people.

Porntip also reflected on her personal encounters with Her Royal Highness, sharing that she had been granted several private audiences with the Princess during the Princess's childhood. She fondly recalled moments when the young Princess sat on her lap, remembering her radiant spirit, sharp intellect, and natural grace.

"I will always remember her radiant joy, keen intelligence, and commanding elegance," Porntip wrote. "May Her Royal Highness rest in peace."
