The Government is preparing a grand royal cremation ceremony for Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Kromluangrajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita, with the highest honors accorded to Her Royal Highness.
Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul on 26 August 2026 chaired the first meeting of the National Commission on the Royal Cremation Ceremony for Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha at Government House, where key preparations were approved, including:
● Construction of the royal crematorium and supplementary structures;
● Restoration of royal chariots, palanquins, and ceremonial objects;
● A public sandalwood flower offering ceremony, open to citizens nationwide;
● A ceremony to receive the royal cremation fire;
● Public performances for the royal cremation ceremony;
● Public exhibitions;
● Commemorative pins marking the occasion.
The Prime Minister emphasized that all committees and agencies involved work with dedication to ensure the ceremony proceeds smoothly and with the utmost honors befitting Her Royal Highness.
