Each year, Thailand celebrates the royal birthday of Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana on 3 June, which has also been designated a national holiday.
Born on 3 June 1978 in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, Her Majesty the Queen graduated from Assumption University in Bangkok, with a bachelor's degree in communication arts. After graduation, Her Majesty became a flight attendant for JAL Airline from 2000 to 2003 and for Thai Airways International from 2003 to 2008, before serving as an operation staff officer at the Royal Guard Unit, Royal Security Command.
In 2017, Her Majesty rose to the position of Deputy Chief Aide-de-Camp to His Majesty the King, Royal Aide-de-Camp Department (Rank of Special General), and then Deputy Commander of the Royal Security Command (Rank of Special General).
On 1 May 2019, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua (Rama X) and General Suthida Vajiralongkorn Na Ayudhya were united in marriage at Amphorn Royal Palace (Ambara Villa), and Her Majesty was granted the royal title of the Queen by His Majesty the King.
On 4 May 2019 at the Royal Investiture Ceremony, Queen Suthida was bestowed the title Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana by royal command.
Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana has a firm intention to carry forward the royal aspirations and approach of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, especially in developing the people’s quality of life, promoting local wisdom and traditional arts and crafts, and preserving Thai cultural heritage.
Her Majesty serves as a role model in wearing Thai silk, when traveling to perform her duties in the country and abroad, making Thai silk fabrics more widely known to the world at large. She also promotes Thai arts and handicrafts created by the Foundation for the Promotion of Supplementary Occupations and Related Techniques (SUPPORT), established by Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.
