Both Thais and foreigners are invited to visit the SUPPORT-OTOP Fair 2025 being held as part of the celebration of the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, 12 August 2025.

SUPPORT stands for the Foundation for the Promotion of Supplementary Occupations and Related Techniques, which was established by the Queen Mother in 1976. The primary objective is to form women’s groups and provide them with training, equipment, and materials to set up and operate cottage industries, especially in rural areas. SUPPORT has been able to provide additional sources of income for farmers.

OTOP stands for the “One Tambon, One Product” program, launched by the Government in 2001, aimed at building up small enterprises in communities and encouraging the people to manufacture local products using their homegrown skills and expertise.

The SUPPORT-OTOP Fair takes place at 1-3 Challenger Halls, IMPACT, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province, from 9 to 17 August 2025, under the theme “From Hand to Heart.” It aims to continue Her Majesty The Queen Mother's work to preserve and promote Thai arts and crafts. The SUPPORT Foundation also plays a crucial role in making OTOP products better known more widely.

SUPPORT handicrafts and OTOP products from all parts of Thailand are put on sale at the fair, which is expected to attract at least 100,000 visitors, distribute income to local communities, and stimulate the overall Thai economy. Apart from more than 2,000 booths for products, the fair also includes exhibitions and over 100 food shops.

The Government encourages people to buy SUPPORT handicrafts and OTOP products as gifts for mothers on the occasion of National Mother’s Day this year. The day of 12 August, which is the Queen Mother’s birthday, is also observed as National Mother’s Day in honor of Her Majesty The Queen Mother, who is recognized as “Mother of the Thai Nation.”
