His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua and Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana are scheduled to pay a royal visit to the Kingdom of Sweden from 29 April to 2 May 2026, at the invitation of His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, to attend the celebrations marking the 80th birthday anniversary of King Carl XVI Gustaf.
According to an announcement issued by the Bureau of the Royal Household on 22 April 2026, Their Majesties the King and Queen will proceed to the Royal Palace of Stockholm to join an informal dinner, hosted by the Swedish monarch for invited Heads of State and foreign royalty on 29 April.
On 30 April, Their Majesties the King and Queen will travel to the Royal Palace of Stockholm to attend the Te Deum Service at the Royal Chapel and then to a viewing of the Changing of the Guard, to be followed by a Choral Tribute performed by choirs offering well-wishes to King Carl XVI Gustaf.
Their Majesties will then proceed to the Stockholm City Hall to participate in a luncheon held in honor of King Carl XVI Gustaf, hosted by the Stockholm City Council. In the evening, Their Majesties will return to the Royal Palace of Stockholm to attend the Gala Dinner, hosted by King Carl XVI Gustaf, for invited Heads of State, foreign royalty and high-level dignitaries.
Their Majesties the King and Queen will depart from the Military Air Terminal, Don Mueang, on Wednesday, 29 April by Thai Airways International Public Company, flight number TG 8886, scheduled to depart at 00.30 hr [night of Tuesday, 28 April], and will return by Thai Airways International Public Company, flight number TG 8887, scheduled to arrive at the Military Air Terminal, Don Mueang, on Saturday, 2 May at 09.00 hr.
