Princess Sirivannavari Receives the Grand Officier of the Légion d’honneur from France

Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya received the Grand Officier of the Légion d’honneur from the French Republic at the Ministry of Culture of the French Republic in Paris on 22 May 2026.

Mrs. Catherine Pégard, Minister of Culture of the French Republic, presented the honor to the Princess. Also, in attendance were Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Minister of Culture Sabida Thaised, and Ambassador of the French Republic to Thailand Jean-Claude Poimboeuf, 

The Minister of Culture of the French Republic delivered remarks extolling Her Royal Highness for her works, honoring the Princess’s esteemed role as an individual with exceptional ability and dedication through her valuable missions that have contributed and promoted French culture and Art de vivre, as well as the enduring friendship with the French Republic.

Her Royal Highness graciously replied, underscoring her appreciation for French hospitality and arts and culture, particularly in the textile industry and design, which are highly relevant to Her Royal Highness’s works. 

The Princess spoke of the value, beauty, and unique cultural identity of France, linking it to the preservation of cultural heritage, the promotion of fine arts, the advancement of culture, and the development of creative industries in Thailand, all of which Her Royal Highness has always prioritized.
