The year 2026 is considered a significant year for Thailand, as it marks the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana’s fourth-cycle or 48th birthday anniversary. For Thai people, the fourth cycle is an important milestone of life and a special celebration is usually arranged on this occasion.
The Government has set 1 March - 31 December 2026 as the period for “The Celebrations on the Auspicious Occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s 4th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 3rd June 2026.” As a tribute to Her Majesty, the Government and the people of Thailand are joining hands in conducting various activities to commemorate the occasion.
The Office of the Permanent Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office, has launched a project to produce commemorative pins marking Her Majesty’s fourth-cycle birthday anniversary. The commemorative pins will be sold at 300 baht each. Reservations can be made at post offices nationwide, or online via ThailandPostMart, from 1 June 2026 onward. Purchase orders will be delivered in the order they are received, starting on 10 July 2026.
The pins will also be available from 20 July onward at all branches of Big C. More information can be obtained at the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office, during official hours at tel. 0-2283-4300 and 062-201-7232.
As part of the activities to celebrate this special occasion, alms-giving and Buddhist chanting ceremonies will be held at Sanam Luang ceremonial ground in Bangkok on 3 June at 07.00 hr. On the same day, presentation of floral offerings as a tribute to Her Majesty will take place at Sanam Luang at 17.30 hr, followed by a candle-lit tribute-paying ceremony in honor of the Queen at 19.29 hr. Similar ceremonies will also take place in all provinces and at Thai embassies and consulates abroad.
The Bureau of the Royal Household invites members of the public to sign their names expressing their best wishes to Her Majesty online. The online well-wishing platform will be available at the website wellwishes.royaloffice.th from 1 to 5 June.
The Government also invites the public to join activities in celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s 48th birthday anniversary at Wat Rachathiwat in Bangkok on 1-3 June, when visitors may attend cultural performances and an exhibition of the Queen. An exhibition in honor of the Queen is also being held at Siam Paragon from 2 to 7 June.
