His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua and Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana graciously appointed Air Chief Marshal Johm Rungsawang, Privy Councilor, as Their Majesties’ representative to present humanitarian assistance for the people of Nepal affected by the recent flash floods and mudslides.
The relief items were received by Mr. Dhan Bahadur Oli, Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand, at a ceremony held at the Aircraft Hangar, Wing 6, Royal Thai Air Force Headquarters in Bangkok on 5 September 2026.
The ceremony was also attended by Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, and Air Chief Marshal Sakesan Kantha, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force.
The Ambassador of Nepal expressed profound appreciation for the royal benevolence. The royal relief items include tents, emergency sleeping bags, relief packages for children, electric generators, safety helmets, and other essential supplies.
The Royal Thai Air Force will deliver the items to Kathmandu, Nepal, early on 6 September 2026.
