Their Majesties the King and Queen are scheduled to travel in the Royal Barge Procession on 6 November 2026 for the offering ceremony of the royal kathin robes to the congregation of Buddhist monks at Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) in Bangkok.
The Royal Kathin Robe Offering Ceremony will be held on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana’s fourth-cycle (48th) birthday anniversary, 3 June 2026.
The second full-dress rehearsal of the Royal Barge Procession ahead of the 6 November ceremony took place on 28 October, when members of the public, including Thai and foreign visitors and media representatives, gathered along the Chao Phraya River to view the rehearsal.
The upcoming spectacular Royal Barge Procession will be arranged into five lines with three rows, featuring 52 barges manned by 2,200 Royal Thai Navy personnel. Their Majesties the King and Queen will be aboard the Royal Barge Suphannahong, which will leave the Wasukri pier at about 15.00 hr and will pass beneath the Rama VIII Bridge as it heads toward Wat Arun.
The total distance from the Wasukri pier to Wat Arun is 3.9 kilometers. The chanting of boat songs will also be organized during the procession. The royal procession by water is a rare spectacle. Members of the public are invited to witness the royal journey on 6 November along both banks of the Chao Phraya River.
This event will be televised by the Television Tool of Thailand and broadcast live by Radio Thailand under the Government Public Relations Department.
