The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization), or TCEB, will organize the World Tea and Coffee Expo 2024 in the northern province of Chiang Rai on 28-30 September at the King Rama 9 Philosophy Hall, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University.
TCEB President Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya told a press conference that Chiang Rai is famous for tea and coffee of high quality. TCEB is pushing this province into becoming a hub of international “meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions,” or MICE, events involving tea and coffee.
It is also ready to enhance the potential of the upper north of Thailand for development as a center of production, trade, investment, and business travel on tea and coffee of the ASEAN region.
The World Tea and Coffee Expo 2024 is part of TCEB’s project to scale up the creative economy and local community product initiatives. The project aims to give a boost to community products and drive economic growth in target provinces through MICE activities. TCEB has also promoted various marketing activities to make Chiang Rai’s tea and coffee better known both in Thailand and overseas.
The World Tea and Coffee Expo 2024 includes a trade exhibition on tea and coffee products from more than 50 farmers and entrepreneurs, a seminar on guidelines for promoting Thailand’s tea and coffee industry, and a workshop to develop the potential of entrepreneurs.
Prior to the World Tea and Coffee Expo 2024, the Tourism Authority of Thailand and local organizations will organza the event “Chiang Rai Fashion to the World” on 30 August – 1 September to stimulate the local tourism industry.
Located 785 kilometers from Bangkok, Chiang Rai has many unique charms among its fascinating sights. The province is noted for its landscape of mountains and forests, and a wide range of tourist attractions.
