The Cabinet on 6 May 2025 approved directions for cooperation among public and private organizations in conducting “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism & Sports Year 2025” campaigns, following a proposal by the National Tourism Policy Committee.

The campaigns emphasize unified operations by all related sectors in welcoming tourist arrivals and promoting a favorable image of Thailand at the international level. Results of the operations will be sent to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

The campaigns are divided into 11 areas, as follows:

1. Airlines: Increase the number of flights, offer incentives, link information through the application programing interface, and expand flight slots to lesser-known destinations to ease congestion in major tourist cities;

2. Hotels, accommodation, restaurants, and tour companies: Cooperate with the private sector in hotel chain promotion and enhance Thai tourism standards; 

3. Department stores and shops: Provide discounts and privileges for foreign tourists, develop cashless payment platforms, and install automatic tax refund machines;

4. Online travel agencies and tour agencies: Launch special promotions and develop potential tourist destinations;

5. Public transportation: Develop modes of transportation, link tourism routes, and introduce the "Amazing Pass," such as “Bangkok One Day Pass”;

6. Safety: Train tourism volunteers and establish tourist assistance centers nationwide offering services around the clock;

7. Visas: Extend visa exemptions and introduce special visa programs for foreign tourists and business travelers;

8. Events: Organize festivals and encourage investors to invest in large events;

9. Tourist attractions: Organize special programs to introduce more tourism attractions and extend the opening hours of national parks;

10. Public relations: Disseminate tourism information through radio, television, and digital media to attract more tourists and create a favorable image of Thailand;
11. Others: Develop tourism personnel, such as tour guides in various languages, and seek cooperation from mobile phone providers to offer tourist SIM cards. 

The Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism & Sports Year 2025 campaigns are expected to attract more than 39 million foreign visitors and generate about 3.4 trillion baht in tourism revenue from both domestic and international tourists.
