Minister of Tourism and Sports Sorawong Thienthong stated that the Princess’s Cup Thailand 2025 would be held on a wide scale from 22 to 28 December and that the Government was ready to develop Thailand as an equestrian sports hub in this region.
Mr. Sorawong recently chaired a meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Princess’s Cup Thailand 2025 to discuss preparations for the equestrian sports competition “Princess’s Cup Thailand.” This year the horse-racing event will take place at the Royal Stable Unit, Sanam Pao, Phahonyothin Road, in Bangkok.
He said that the meeting approved various activities to be held this year, such as the 3rd SEA Youth Cup 2025, competition categories of Princess’s Cup Thailand, a flea market, food trucks, street performances, exhibitions, and dog contests.
On this occasion, athletes participating in the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games will also be invited to join competitions at the Princess’s Cup Thailand 2025. The 33rd SEA Games will be held in Thailand from 9 to 20 December 2025, with Bangkok, Chon Buri, and Songkhla as the main host cities.
Mr. Sorawong said that the Princess’s Cup Thailand 2025 would be held at the initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, who is Chairperson of the Policy Committee of the Princess’s Cup Thailand.
It aims to develop horse-riding skills and experience in equestrian competitions, as well as promoting good relations among equestrians and between equestrian clubs.
Mr. Sorawong said that the event would help promote tourism and stimulate the country’s economy in late 2025. Interested persons are invited to attend this event, and admission is free.
