Trang Province in the South is preparing to organize “Trang Love Festival 2026,” also known as the Trang Underwater Wedding Festival, during the Saint Valentine’s Day period and to upgrade its unique underwater wedding ceremony to an international event.

The festival will be held on 13-15 February 2026. It differs from group weddings held elsewhere, as it takes place underwater. The festival brings a number of couples from all over the world to participate in this unique event each year.

Trang Governor Songklod Sawangwong, together with representatives from various relevant organizations, such as the Trang Chamber of Commerce, the Trang Tourism and Sports Office, and Hat Chao Mai National Park, told a press conference about this festival on 22 January at Hat Chao Mai National Park.

One of the highlights of the festival is pre-wedding photography on 13 February at Thung Khai Botanical Garden in Kantang Hot Spring Forest Park. Participating couples will join a parade from the Trang Chamber of Commerce to the Clock Tower.

On 14 February, formal marriage registration will take place at Siwalai beach and underwater marriage registration at the Emerald Cave and Waen Island. Workshop activities will take place at Khram Khun Learning Center on 15 February.

The Trang Governor stated that the province was ready to host this event, which also aims to promote the wedding destination as part of Thailand’s “soft power.” Trang is a safe place for all visitors and focuses on sustainable environmental conservation.
