A total of 351 Thai nationals have already been assisted in returning safely to Thailand. In the morning of 7 March, the final group of Thai nationals from the first-round evacuation in Iran, totaling 23 people, departed from Van, Türkiye and arrived safely at Suvarnabhumi Airport, where they were welcomed by Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs. Thai embassies and consulates-general continue to facilitate and provide advice to Thai nationals in the area while coordinating with airlines and relevant agencies to ensure that they can safely cross borders to neighboring countries and return to Thailand.
In conclusion, Mr. Panidone urged Thai nationals still residing in the Middle East to strictly avoid entering high-risk areas and to consider leaving such areas as soon as possible. They are also encouraged to update their location and contact information with the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate-General, so that authorities can reach them and provide assistance.
He reaffirmed that the Thai government places the highest priority on the safety of all Thai nationals. Thailand also remains firmly committed to the principle of peace and calls on all parties to pursue diplomatic and peaceful protocol to resolve the conflict and prevent the situation from intensifying further.
