Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sihasak Puangketkeow and Ambassador of France to Thailand Jean-Claude Poimboeuf have signed the Joint Action Plan to Strengthen the Thailand–France Partnership (2026-2028).
The Joint Action Plan was signed in Bangkok on 3 July 2026, following the historic state visit by Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand to the French Republic from 28 June to 2 July 2026. Senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs witnessed the signing ceremony.
The Joint Action Plan reflects the shared commitment of Thailand and France to further deepen the bilateral partnership. It sets out a shared vision and a framework for cooperation through 2028, covering key areas including in the economic, political, and security spheres and on technology and innovation, education, and research.
The Plan lays the foundation for elevating bilateral relations toward a Thailand-France Strategic Partnership.
