The Government has encouraged members of the public to unite their hearts as one and show their loyalty and gratitude to His Majesty the King by joining various activities on the occasion of His Majesty’s birthday anniversary, 28 July 2026.

The public and private sectors will jointly organize the event “River of Life: Preserving Rattanakosin Heritage under Royal Benevolence,” scheduled for 24-26 July at Mahakan Fort Park on Maha Chai Road in Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok.

Within the park and nearby areas, 12 major activities will be held in dedication to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua (Rama X). They involve four categories, as follows: 

Religious activities: (1) an alms-giving ceremony for 225 monks from 40 temples on the banks of Rattanakosin Island canals, Prem Prachakhon Canal, and Saen Saep Canal, (2) Dhamma practice and the offering of daily necessities to the monks at the 40 temples, together with canal development, and (3) evening Buddhist chanting to dedicate merit to His Majesty;

Public service activities: (4) blood donation, (5) tree planting by communities on the banks of Rattanakosin Island canals, and (6) public service spots to be opened for quality of life development to help homeless persons and the destitute;

Area-based tourism activities and Rattanakosin Island development: (7) walking street activities on the two sides of Ong Ang, Phadung Krung Kasem, Khlong Lot Wat Ratchanatdaram, and Khlong Lot Wat Ratchabophit canals, from 24 to 26 July, (8) mural painting (street art) contests, and (9) Khlong Lot development to improve the landscapes of Khlong Lot Wat Ratchanatdaram and Khlong Lot Wat Ratchabophit; 

Activities in honor of His Majesty the King: (10) royal commemorative film screening “River of Life,” with 12 episodes featuring royally initiated projects, (11) music performances, and (12) a candle-lit tribute-paying ceremony in honor of His Majesty the King.
