Thailand and Israel Boost Cultural and Legal Cooperation

Thailand and Israel have underlined the importance of promoting cooperation to enhance understanding of Thai laws, customs, and ways of life. Both sides also reaffirmed their commitment to expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sihasak Phuangketkeow met with Mrs. Alona Fisher-Kamm, Ambassador of the State of Israel to Thailand, on 8 September 2026.

Both sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, as well as specific issues that may affect people-to-people ties and the expansion of tourism cooperation.

Previously, on 5 September, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs delivered a keynote address on the topic “Thailand and the New World Order” at the Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University (Tha Prachan).

He emphasized that Thailand’s foreign policy must be comprehensive, forward-looking, and driven by proactive diplomacy. He highlighted the importance of advancing economic diplomacy – particularly through Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations and opening new market opportunities – to navigate a rapidly changing global context and intensifying geopolitical, geoeconomic, and geotechnological competition.
