Pushing Quality Media Content Internationally

The Thai Media Fund Committee has approved a five-year Intellectual Property Management Plan. Under the “Dual Value” strategy, the plan aims to boost domestic and global market opportunities for Thai media, while balancing social and economic benefits.

Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Supamas Isarabhakdi, in her capacity as Chairperson of the Thai Media Fund Committee, stated that the plan approved during the meeting on 11 September 2026 was intended to expand the reach of creative media to the public and generate sustainable income for continuous content development.

The plan outlines five key strategies: (1) establishing an intellectual property database, (2) categorizing types of creative work, (3) setting quality standards for deliverables, (4) developing marketing and distribution channels, and (5) creating a framework for sustainable advancement.

Additionally, it establishes clear guidelines for copyright management, licensing formats, and royalty rates to provide structured criteria for content utilization.

To evaluate the value of the deliverables, three core dimensions will be considered: financial returns, media/in-kind value, and social impact. This evaluation demonstrates both revenue potential and public benefits – particularly access to safe, creative media, and the development of a healthy media ecosystem.

Interested applicants are invited to submit their proposals to receive support from the Thai Media Fund for the 2027 fiscal year from 1 October to 15 November 2026 (closing at 4:30 PM). For more details, visit the Thai Media Fund website at www.thaimediafund.or.th.
