Thailand’s Tourism and MICE Spotlight at Gastech 2026

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is highlighting Thailand’s tourism and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) potential at Gastech 2026, presenting the “Power of Journey” concept as an extension of its “Healing Is the New Luxury” approach under the theme “Feel All The Feelings.”

Held from 14 to 17 September 2026 at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC), Gastech 2026 brings together global leaders, business executives, investors, and energy professionals from 150 countries. The event was officially opened by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, joined by Energy Minister Akanat Promphan, TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool, and President of dmg events Christopher Hudson.

Ms. Thapanee said that “Healing Is the New Luxury” concept aligns with the preferences of modern travelers who seek meaningful experiences and life balance. Through the “Power of Journey,” Thailand presents travel not simply as discovering new places, but as an opportunity to pause, reconnect, and recharge through culture, gastronomy, arts, local lifestyles, and wellness experiences.

TAT has launched its tourism booth at Gastech 2026, bringing Thailand to life through taste, scent, sound, and movement. The showcase features cultural elements, such as Thai tea, Joe Louis traditional Thai puppetry, Thai massage, and Muay Thai. It also highlights Thailand's unique identity while positioning the country as a premier destination for quality travelers and the global MICE market.

Sustainability is also highlighted through the “20 Low Carbon Lifestyles” travel routes, encouraging travelers to explore Thailand in ways that connect with nature and local communities while minimizing their environmental impact.

Gastech 2026 features more than 1,000 leading energy companies and over 50,000 participants, offering Thailand an important platform from which it can connect with global decision-makers, investors, and business leaders.

Through its participation, TAT aims to inspire international visitors to discover Thailand beyond conventional tourism and reinforce the country’s image as a destination blending wellness, culture, meaningful experiences, sustainability, and world-class MICE opportunities.

Visitors to the TAT booth will also receive Thai herbal inhalers. These items reflect traditional Thai wellness wisdom through a contemporary product, serving as a distinctive reminder of Thailand.
