The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand on 8 April 2026 issued a statement on the ceasefire agreement between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as follows:

“Thailand welcomes the agreement reached between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran on the two-week ceasefire which hopefully would lead to a sustained ceasefire and lasting peace.

“Thailand reaffirms our support for the conflict resolution through diplomatic means and calls on all parties to fully adhere to international law, particularly in regard to freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. 

“Thailand further urges all parties concerned to seize this opportunity to pursue negotiations toward a concrete and long-term solution.”
