Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul is leading a delegation on a visit to Russia to attend the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit, scheduled for 17-18 June 2026 in Kazan, marking the 35th anniversary of ASEAN-Russia relations and the 30th anniversary of the ASEAN-Russia Dialogue Partnership.
On 17 June, the Prime Minister will participate in the ASEAN-Russia Business Forum. which brings together top entrepreneurs to boost trade, investment, new joint ventures, and youth initiatives.
He will deliver a statement on the ASEAN-Russia relations, as well as international and regional cooperation, on 18 June, when the summit discusses major international and regional issues to shape the future of political, economic, and humanitarian cooperation between ASEAN and Russia.
ASEAN and Russian leaders will sign four outcome documents at the summit, which include (1) Kazan Declaration, highlighting the 35th Anniversary of ASEAN-Russia Relations, (2) Energy Cooperation, joint statement outlining shared energy goals, (3) Cultural Cooperation, joint statement to enhance cultural exchanges, and (4) Action Plan Comprehensive Plan of Action to Implement the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership (2026-2030).
Prime Minister Anutin will attend a working lunch to discuss with ASEAN and Russian leaders economic connectivity between ASEAN and the Eurasian region and to explore new opportunities for trade, investment, energy, and food security cooperation.
He will also hold bilateral talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on 18 June for discussions covering many issues, including economic, trade, investment. energy, and technology cooperation between Thailand and Russia.
The Prime will return to Bangkok on 19 June.
