Ms. Traisuree Taisaranakul, Secretary-General to the Prime Minister, disclosed that Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul has been designated by His Majesty the King to represent His Majesty at the State Funeral of King Harald V of Norway.

The Prime Minister departed for the Kingdom of Norway on the evening of 7 September 2026. The state funeral will take place on Wednesday, 9 September, at 13:00 (local time) at Oslo Cathedral.

Due to this official mission, the Prime Minister, in his capacity as a Member of Parliament, will be unable to attend the debate and voting on the Fiscal Year 2027 Budget Bill in its second and third readings.

As the Prime Minister attaches great importance to the budget deliberations, he will closely monitor the progress throughout. He has also assigned Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanprapas, alongside other Cabinet members, to provide comprehensive clarifications to the House of Representatives on all key issues.
