Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has invited American companies to expand investments in Thailand, particularly in target industries, such as advanced electronics, artificial intelligence, digital economy, energy, and agri-food. 

The Prime Minister presented the Government’s vision and policies for reforming Thailand’s economic system and enhancing its competitiveness at a meeting with the private sector and a Gala Dinner on 23 September 2026 in New York.

The gala dinner was hosted in honor of Prime Minister Anutin by the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on the sidelines of the High-level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly. It was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sihasak Phuangketkeow and executives from more than 20 leading American companies.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister reaffirmed the importance of the Thailand-U.S. economic partnership. He also updated the participants on the Thailand-U.S. trade negotiations, which will bring greater stability, predictability and opportunities for businesses in both countries. 

He stated that U.S. investment expansion in Thailand, particularly within target industries, would move Thailand up the value chain while strengthening the long-term Thailand-U.S. economic partnership.

On the same day, Prime Minister Anutin also had a meeting with executives of member companies, namely Apple, Chevron, Glenfarne Group, PepsiCo, ServiceNow, Siemens Healthineers, and Western Digital. They exchanged views on ways to advance Thailand’s economy and to elevate trade, investment, innovation, and cooperation between Thailand and the United States.
