The Ministry of Education through the Department of Administration and Services and the Department of Information and Communication Technology held the Inauguration Ceremony of the Ministry of Education's One Stop Services Centre and the launch of the Digital Transformation Plan on December 27, 2022 at the Headquarters Building of the Ministry of Education.

Present as the guest of honour for the inauguration and launch is Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by Mohd Zainuddin Shah bin Talip, Education Officer from the Department of Co-Curriculum Education and followed by a welcoming speech delivered by Yang Mulia Dr. Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary (Higher Education).

The Ministry of Education's One Stop Services Centre started operating on 1 September 2022 and functions as a focal point for the public including the Ministry of Education staff to obtain over-the-counter services for services under the purview of the Ministry of Education. Among the departments included are the Department of Administration and Services, the Department of Examinations, the Department of Private Education, the Department of Educators Management, the Department of Scholarship Management, the Department of Schools and the Department of Estate Planning and Management.

The ceremony was followed by the launch of the Digital Transformation Plan which aimed to increase and expand the awareness of stakeholders and the public on the direction of the Ministry of Education in implementing digital initiatives to support the vision of the 2025 Digital Economy Master Plan on realizing Brunei Darussalam as a tech-savvy country in line with the goals of Wawasan Brunei 2035. 

Under the Digital Transformation plan, several digital initiatives of the Ministry of Education have been identified to encourage transformation in the delivery of education more effectively and improve the quality of the organization's services through three (3) main key or focus areas, namely Educational Technology, Management Technology as well as Implementation of Policies and Infrastructure.

Also present at the ceremony were Yang Mulia Awang Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Acting Permanent Secretary (Core Education), Heads of Departments and senior officials from Ministry of Education.
