To commemorate World Patient Safety Day 2023, the Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) has introduced its newly revised Patient Charter.
The ceremony held at JPMC was attended by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health as Chairman and Executive Director of JPMC.
In his speech, Yang Berhormat Minister stressed the significance of the revised Patient Charter, highlighting its alignment with the World Health Organization’s World Patient Safety Day 2023 theme: ‘Engaging Patients for Patient Safety’.
The Minister also underscored the importance of involving clients and patients in the review process, emphasising the pivotal role they play in shaping healthcare journeys.
The event also serves as a platform to celebrate JPMC’s commitment towards patient safety, and its 25th Jubilee Anniversary.
The charter outlines patients’ rights and responsibilities, emphasising JPMC’s dedication to providing a safe, respectful and compassionate healthcare experience for all patients.
