Bilateral Meeting with the Prime Minister of Thailand

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, attended a Bilateral Meeting with the Prime Minister of Thailand, His Excellency Anutin Charnvirakul, in Kazan, Russian Federation.
Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed bilateral cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and Thailand, particularly in the areas of trade, food security and people-to-people exchanges.
His Majesty also invited the Prime Minister of Thailand to undertake an official visit to Brunei Darussalam.
Brunei Darussalam and Thailand established diplomatic relations on 1st January 1984 and continue to enjoy close and friendly bilateral ties across a wide range of sectors, including trade and investment, education, healthcare, defence, culture, food security and people-to-people exchanges.
