Foreign companies show interest in Thailand’s “talent hub” and “regional headquarters” initiatives

A recent report from the Board of Investment (BOI) showed that 2,920 foreign nationals applied for Long-Term Resident (LTR) Visas between November 2022 and February 2023. This is in keeping with the government's strategy for the Talent Hub, which is to attract high-potential foreigners to Thailand in order to boost the country's economy and investment. Europe had 940 applicants for LTR visas, followed by the US with 517 and China with 325. The BOI also gave its approval to more than 500 projects from foreign nations seeking to establish regional headquarters, with an investment worth over 13,000 million baht. Japan, the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong, and France were the first five nations and territories to submit applications for the program.
