Pattaya City recently arranged a meeting to talk about how to enhance order on Pattaya Walking Street and foster tourism. The Bang Lamung district administration, the Pattaya police, the Tourism Police, and Walking Street business owners participated in the meeting. The meeting noted how metal fences have begun to be put up to prevent cars from driving onto the walking street between 6:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. every day. The issue of trash was also covered. The discussion included the rearrangement of the Walking Street motorbike taxi service. Moreover, the disorderly parking of cars and motorcycles in Walking Street's different alleys was discussed. They also considered boundaries for merchandise that is placed in front of stores. Finally, participants were advised not to use coercive tactics to entice customers or behave in ways that would scare off tourists.
