Medical checkups arranged after missing Cesium-137 Isotope found in Prachin Buri

The Ministry of Public Health is arranging health examinations for employees working at smelting plants in the industrial area of Prachinburi province who unknowingly bought a missing container of radioactive isotope from a power plant, according to Dr.Opas Karnkawinpong, Director-General of the Department of Disease Control. The action was taken in response to reports that the Cesium-137 radioactive isotope cylinder, which went missing last week, had been found during an assessment of steel smelting facilities in the industrial region of Kabin Buri district. Health officials will keep an eye out for anyone who displays physical abnormalities. However, they will be ready for eventual crises until it is established that the area is free of radioactive contamination.
