Anucha Burapachaisri, the government's spokesperson, announced that the Thailand Automotive Institute (TAI) had unveiled a new roadmap with the theme "Reshape the Future." The plan describes tactics to direct Thailand's auto industry's transition to the production of zero-emission cars (ZEVs) and market Thailand as a major ZEV manufacturing base. The 30@30 strategy, which aims for 30% of Thai-made vehicles to be ZEVs by 2030, has been introduced in an effort to transition Thailand to a low-carbon society. 1,950,000 automobiles are expected to be produced domestically in 2023, of which 900,000 will be sold locally and 1,050,000 will be exported. The goal is to produce 2.4 million vehicles domestically in 2030, 725,000 of which will be ZEVs.
