Border trade and cross-border trade value in Thailand experienced 4.9% growth in May 2023, valued at over 150 billion baht. Overall exports during the first five months of 2023 increased by 4.3%. The Ministry of Commerce reported a trade surplus of 24,966 million baht, with border trade involving Malaysia, Laos, and Cambodia totaling 82,418 million baht. Cross-border trade with China, Vietnam, Singapore, and other countries amounted to 71,409 million baht, a 22.9% increase from the previous year.
